A community is
built through
conversation.

Not just job titles or industry statistics. The people, perspectives, and experiences behind the work.

In BWWM’s first Table Talk, LaTanya Beauregard joined the conversation for Branding Beyond the Buzzwords — a discussion about authenticity, visibility, and the human side of professional identity.

“A brand isn't just what you say. It's what people experience.”

02 / The story behind the space

It started with what was missing.

As I began navigating wealth management, I became increasingly interested in the women whose careers, perspectives, and contributions weren’t always easy to discover. Across the industry, Black women were building businesses, shaping organizations, and pursuing paths that deserved greater visibility.

I founded BWWM to bring more of those stories and perspectives into view, while creating space for the relationships and shared experiences that make professional communities meaningful. Because sometimes, exposure to someone else’s path can introduce possibilities we hadn’t imagined for ourselves.

“Sometimes, seeing what someone else has accomplished changes what you imagine for yourself.”

Research and perspective

BWWM Editorial graphic: affluent women rank growing their wealth as the number 1 financial priority, while advisors expected it to rank number 8.

Research · Perspective · Women and wealth

The woman wealth management thinks it knows.

What happens when the industry's understanding of women doesn't match what women actually want?    Drawing on BlackRock's Future of Wealth research, BWWM examines the disconnect between affluent women's financial priorities and the assumptions advisors make about them.
